Reset your add-in

Clear the Excel add-in cache if Excel is running an old build.

If Excel warns that your add-in is out of date, it may be running a cached version. Excel should eventually refresh the add-in, but you can force a reset when needed.

Quick reset

First try pressing Ctrl+R while the add-in taskpane is active. This may reload the latest add-in build.

Advanced reset

In the Start menu or Windows Explorer, navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\.

You should see a folder named webview2. Rename, move, or delete this folder. Excel will retrieve the latest version of the add-in the next time it loads. You may need to close all Office applications first.
